Irish Greyhound Derby 2015: The best bets from day two of the heats
The Irish Derby continues with the second batch of heats on Saturday at what will be a packed Shelbourne Park in Dublin - so eyes down for heats 13 to 24, and as ever The Lord is across it all...
"Onto heat 20 now and another greyhound who starred at Wimbledon for a short while, although impressed even more at Shawfield during the Scottish Derby where he reached the final. Save The Don (21:27) is his name and he remains one of the best front runners around and can make all to Ballybough Hondo, the big Clonmel comp winner."
We kick off with one for horseracing fans with Secreto (19:42) catching the eye. He might soon have these at full stretch and, strong running, turns a handy slot into a runaway win to beat last year's finalist Vulturi.
Next up is Cable Bay (19:57) who won the big Limerick puppy competition and beat Rural Hawaii there. The latter franked the form in his heat on Thursday, so chances are trap five can lead home ex-UK Sidarian Teejay, a nice sort at best.
A familiar name to greyhound fans is Paradise Maverik (20:12). He goes in heat 15 and gets the vote having run well in the English Derby and then at Dundalk. He stays strongest of all, while Fair Taxes (20:27) could be one of the popular bets of the night.
He showed what he's capable of with a 28.20sec run for the shorter trip and has a great draw inside tonight to beat kennelmate Overcharge.
Heat 17 can go to Amazing Dude (20:42). He has sparkled in trials over both 525 and 550 yards and has a plot draw inside, although will be tiring late on.
Biggest name running tonight is Oaks champion Ballydoyle Honey (20:57). She was brilliant in the bitches' classic and takes all the beating tonight, although will be one for short-shot players. Take her brother Hovex Prince to chase her home.
Clares Wonder (21:12) represents the strong Graham Holland kennel and showed pace at Wimbledon during the English Derby. His 550 yards trials have been good and he numbers some fast wins.

Heat 21 next where Redwood Mick (21:42) catches the eye. He has trialled backed well and does have overall a good record a Shelbourne, even winning over 575 yards so any lead should certainly be kept.
Onto the last three heats with Tyrur Tommy (21:57) fancied in heat 22 given his Shelbourne form from last year and a good make-up; Offshore Bound (22:12) will finish best in heat 23 providing the gaps open as he makes his charge, while the last of 24 heats in the first round can go to Borna Sounds (22:27) who brings solid form up from Thurles.
