WHITE DIAMONDS (Trap 1, 14:08) hasn't really progressed as expected, particularly given his breeding (son of an Oaks winner), but he has been given an excellent chance by the grader this afternoon and could well be the way to go. This is an A7 lacking a great deal of depth and the November 15 whelp really ought to be playing a lead role.
Remaining at Belle Vue KAITO JEANNE (Trap 3, 16:27) is fancied to capitalise on the graders' mercy. Bev Heaton's charge has been proving largely consistent in A2 company, her runner-up effort on New Year's Eve reading particularly well. An early lead is not out of the question this afternoon and we're hopeful of a very big run.
Over at Peterborough HER LUCKY DOT (Trap 2) looks to hold sound claims of taking the D2 sprint at 19:37. A facile scorer in this class three starts back, both efforts subsequently have been creditable and drawn outside a rival who has largely struggled in recent weeks, she could well prove too strong for this evening's rivals.
