Timeform pick out three bets from Towcester on Friday...
"...the son of Romeo Recruit looks to have been found a good opening to get his Derby campaign off the perfect start..."
Timeform on Droopys Wilbury
DROOPYS WILBURY (Trap 4, 19.19) may have only won an A3 affair on the back of a lengthy absence here recently, yet the manner of that performance, coinciding with improvement on his exploits in trials suggests he's still a force to be reckoned with. Now trained by Mark Wallis, the son of Romeo Recruit looks to have been found a good opening to get his Derby campaign off the perfect start.
Despite his advancing years SHANEBOY FREDDIE (Trap 2, 20.36) continues to churn out top class performances, highlighted by his latest C&D victory. His early pace has always been his most potent asset, and the veteran campaigner may well be difficult to dislodge if getting loose against tonight's rivals.
Another dog not getting any younger is BOCKOS ALFIE (Trap 2, 21.07) but he's yet another who continues to go from strength to strength. He boasts a solid record at Towcester and whilst things didn't go to plan on his last competitive visit over C&D, his latest Romford success suggests he remains at the top of his game.
