Timeform pick out three bets from Newcastle and Sheffield on Thursday...
"Eased a peg on the graded ladder of late, he has shown hints of a resurgence..."
Timeform on Lagile Brexit
Sheffield's 15:28 rates a competitive affair on paper and with that in mind there may be a spot of value in the shape of STRIDE ON MAGGIE (Trap 3). Having endured a spell in the doldrums earlier this year, Jamie Smith's charge produced a cracking effort to score in this grade four starts ago and ran well when third in a decent time latest. She is fancied to turn in front rank this afternoon and at forecast odds, we're hopeful of a bold show.
LAGILE BREXIT's (Trap 4, 15:48) losing run stretches back to April, yet he has largely been set some stiff assignments by the grader in his defence. Eased a peg on the graded ladder of late, he has shown hints of a resurgence and, in a race distinctly lacking in terms of depth, he is fancied to regain the winning thread.
Over at Newcastle, CANNY BOYCIE (Trap 1, 18:22) hasn't really had the rub of the green of late, and to further compound matters has essentially been found wanting in some tough events for the grade of late. However, the drop back into his own age group can only help and provided he escapes early trouble spots, he is fancied to be seen in a much better light.
