Timeform provide selections from Perry Bar and Sheffield on Saturday...
"She holds an advantage on the clock..."
Timeform on Carastown
SHANIAS FLIGHT (T6) doesn't make like easy for herself as she has a tendency to race very wide, but at least she normally gets a clear run of things as a result. She's pretty exposed, but the 12.08 at Perry Barr is weak, even by A9 standards, so she looks the way to go.
CARASTOWN (T2) also holds no secrets from the grader, but she wins her share at her level given she possesses a nice blend of early pace and stamina for the 480m trip at Perry Barr. She holds an advantage on the clock in the 13.44 affair so should be backed accordingly.
The best wager of the day looks to be the pup CONEY CALYPSO (T3) in Sheffield's A4 contest at 18.22. It's slightly surprising to see him in this grade given his ready success a fortnight ago, and a very narrow reverse over 480m since confirms he's in excellent heart.
