Timeform pick out their three best bets from three different tracks on Friday...
"...looks at the mercy of Kevin Hutton’s unbeaten pup..."
Timeform on Badminton Donal
The 18.02 at Crayford can go the way of Cleanaway Lass (Trap 6). The selection is very much at home in the stripes and has won two of her last three races, both of which were over the longer 540m trip. She's just as effective at this shorter distance, however, and still only a pup can continue her recent improvement by staying on too strongly for some in-and-out rivals.
At Nottingham this evening the chances of Samovar Northern (Trap 4) look strong in the 18.39. The black is still looking for his first win but he's only had a handful of runs and ran an excellent race last time to finish second despite getting baulked at the first bend. The opposition here looks of a similar standard, but granted a clear run he will be very hard to beat.
The 19.49 at Romford looks at the mercy of Kevin Hutton's unbeaten pup Badminton Donal (Trap 3), so long as he traps as he did in his last trial and Open race debut, both of which were over this course and distance. If he does, the son of Ballymac Vic will soon be a few lengths clear and only Newcastle raider Droopys Carat looks to have the form in the book to run him close.
Cleanaway Lass (Trap 6) - 18.02 Crayford
Samovar Northern (Trap 4) - 18.39 Nottingham
Badminton Donal (Trap 3) - 19.49 Romford
