Timeform head to Newcastle and Central Park for their three best bets on Friday...

Timeform on Sparta Cream
The 15:07 contest at Newcastle this afternoon looks a good opportunity for ALNWICK SAL (Trap 4) to get back to winning ways. The black has quickly reached A2 level having been introduced at A7 level back in May and has taken her level of performance to new levels in her last six starts. She couldn't land the hat-trick last time but it was still a very good effort in defeat.
In the final race at Newcastle at 18:11, MANDYS CANDY (Trap 5) looks the one to be with. Her fifth last time is better than it might appear at first glance given she was taken very wide and confirms that, as her previous two runs had suggested, she is performing somewhere near her best now she is further out of season. This A4 looks well within her compass.
There are plenty of veterans in opposition in the 18:49 at Central Park and that makes the youngest greyhound, SPARTA CREAM (Trap 6), of particular interest. Barrie O'Sullivan's representative is giving away upwards of 4m in this 480m handicap, but there has been plenty to like about her recent efforts, and so long as she gets a clear run, she rates a confident selection.
ALNWICK SAL (Trap 4) - 15:07 Newcastle
MANDYS CANDY (Trap 5) - 18:11 Newcastle
SPARTA CREAM (Trap 6) - 18:49 Central Park
