Timeform pick out three bets from Thursday's televised cards at Henlow and Monmore.
"The son of Westmead Logan will need to be on his metal at lid rise, but is expected to be finishing very strongly in any case..."
SPARTA IMPACT (Trap 5, 19:31) was hit hard by the Henlow grader having dead-heated in this grade back on the 18th of May, but it hasn't been long for the son of Royal Impact to slip back down the ladder. However, he has been far from disgraced since that win in as high as A5 grade, and Nick Deas' charge looks to hold sound claims of leading on the outside this evening. With his recent exploits on the clock appearing particularly compelling, he gets our vote to justify what look set to be cramped odds.
We stay at Henlow for this evening's second selection and we're hopeful the return to Trap 6 can swing the pendulum in favour of CORFU IKARUS at 20:02. The son of Westmead Logan will need to be on his metal at lid rise, but is expected to be finishing very strongly in any case, and with his expected final time looking particularly strong in the context of this race, he can deservedly get back on the winning trail.
Monmore's 20:11 sees the open racers take centre stage, and we think BOG BRAE (Trap 3) may well be ready to end a losing run on the back of a handful of runner-up efforts of late. Paul Sallis' brindle is a real favourite at the West Midlands venue, and is expected to grab a handy position round the first couple of bends. The son of Kinloch Brae is fancied to be finishing powerfully, and can deservedly regain the winning thread.
