Timeform pick out three bets from Newcastle on Saturday.
"Target Flight may well be the one to back over those drawn wider."
Our first selection comes in the very first race at 14:24 with ROMEO ESCALADE (Trap 5) fancied to build on recent trial exploits and make his second C&D start a winning one. The son of Vans Escalade, the July 14' whelp is best forgiven his display on the 18th February (clearly not 100% on the day), but has shown plenty of early zip in trials since, and in the hope he can poach an early lead, he is fancied to have enough in reserve this afternoon.
Our next selection comes in the Williamhill.com Stakes at 14:42, an A6 contest, with TROOPERS PARA (Trap 6) fancied to utilise what could be a good make-up out wide and regain the winning thread. Jimmy Fenwick's brindle has often proved himself a reliable operator at this sort of level, and with recent efforts respectable enough in the context of this event, alongside the possibility of him gaining a lead out wide, he is worth chancing to prove the point.
We can hopefully sign off with a winner at 16:28 with TARGET FLIGHT (Trap 2) getting the nod and hopefully providing some value. Another youngster, the son of Droopys Scolari has showed plenty of early zip in his career to date, and was picked up late in the day when last seen a week ago. He should quickly be able to boss an early lead on the inside once more, and with a number of these appearing similarly matched certainly on the clock, Target Flight may well be the one to back over those drawn wider.
