Timeform's Greyhounds team have picked out three bets from Sheffield on Monday.
"The son of Makeshift boasts solid form in the grade of D3 but has been known to mix it - with some success - at a higher level."
GORTKELLY AMOS (Trap 4) gets our vote to land the A3 at 17:17, in the hope Matt O'Donnell's charge can turn a string of solid efforts in to a win. The son of Scolari Me Daddy was crowded at a crucial stage last week having led for a long way, and in the hope he can ping the lids again today, we're hopeful he may have enough in reserve against this field to deservedly regain the winning thread.
The A4 contest at 17:33 essentially rates a tightly-knit, competitive affair on paper, but we think this could represent a good opportunity for the downgraded KILLOTTERAN LUCY (Trap 2) to get back on the winning trail. Lisa Taylorson's charge - a winner in this grade last month - hasn't been seen to best effect in two of her three starts since and encountered plenty of trouble in the opening exchanges last time. She will need to ensure that doesn't happen again here, but in the hope she is within striking distance at the three-quarter point, she is expected to be finishing as well as any, and she gets our vote to add another win to her C.V.
The sprinters take centre stage at 18:04 and we think there may be some mileage in supporting OLA TRIANGLE (Trap 6). The son of Makeshift boasts solid form in the grade of D3 but has been known to mix it - with some success - at a higher level. He needs to shrug of what was essentially a lacklustre display on his latest outing, but in the hope he's foot-perfect at the traps he could well have too many guns for this line-up.
