The first race at Sheffield comes at 18:39 and we're siding with ZARI FRANKIE (Trap 4) to build on her opening pair of runner-up exploits over this trip and go one place better. Tony McKenna's charge has a serial slow starter to her immediate inside and is fancied to gain a clear run early, which can only enhance her claims. She packs a good punch over the trip and is expected to score.
SUNSET OLYMPIAN (Trap 2) hasn't tasted success since last summer, that largely in account of his spell on the side-lines late last year, yet he still boasts an impressive strike-rate for one at this level (better than 20% win-run ratio) and 33% in this grade of A4. He's probably not the force of old but has knocked on the door several times upon returning to the fray in stronger events, and today could well be his day in Nottingham's 18:44.
Back at Sheffield SOBERANO PRINCE (Trap 5, 19:58) is entitled to sharpen up for what was essentially a luckless run in this grade 10 days ago, yet it is worth remembering that was his first outing in some 17 days. Sean Davy's charge may well need to play second fiddle behind trail-blazer Monamintra Jodie early doors this evening but grabbing himself a handy position can see him assert from the three-quarter point and get back on track.
