"...she’s expected to be tough to peg back..."
Timeform on Miracle Well
Miracle Well (Trap 2, 17.03) is yet to taste success, admittedly in her short career to date, yet her consistency has been hard to knock upon joining Bev Heaton, collared late on and going down by a head 7 days ago. This afternoon's contest is a race lacking early paced types and it is feasible to see her seize an early lead and she's expected to be tough to peg back.
Mays Calipto (Trap 3, 18.43) is very low-mileage considering he's a July 18 whelp and showed plenty of ability in his C&D qualifying trials, progressing with each outing and posting a slick 28.85 on his penultimate run. He was undone by a slow break on his first competitive start last time, leaving himself with a mountain to climb but he was noted doing good late work from off the pace. He can ill afford to repeat that here but is open to further progress and with that under his belt, is fancied to emerge victorious this evening.
The heats of the Henlow Maiden Derby take place this evening, heat three featuring at 19.24 and we think an opening for Seldom Blue (Trap 4) to regain the winning thread. Established as a classy A1 performer on home-soil, she had little go right when eliminated at the semi-final stage of the East Anglian Derby earlier this month. However, a subsequent C&D trial/solid run in A1 company has highlighted she's on good terms with herself and she's fancied to build on her trial effort and come out on top in a race lacking depth.
Miracle Well (Trap 2) - 17.03 Kinsley
Mays Calipto (Trap 3) - 18.43 Central Park
Seldom Blue (Trap 4) - 19:24 Henlow
