Timeform on Freffans Wren

HAVANA HOTTIE (Trap 1) - 14.04 Newcastle

HAVANA HOTTIE isn't known for starting quickly but has been noted running well on the back of a comfortable success in this grade of A3 four starts back. Meeting with stronger company in the main of late, the fact she was forced to check at bends two and three left her with too much to do latest. She is expected to have to play second fiddle to Jazz Hands on the rails initially but with anything like a clear run, is expected to announce her presence on the scene from the ¾ point.

LONG MILE (Trap 4) - 16.23 Newcastle

LONG MILE has proven consistent without getting his head in front since arriving on these shores, hitting the frame in a handful of A5 contests. A pacey individual, boasting a slick 16.41 at Clonmel in Ireland, the grader's mercy is noticeable this afternoon and, fancied to be blazing the trail from lid-rise, the son of Laughill Duke looks to have plenty in his favour.

FREFFANS WREN (Trap 2) - 21.01 Sunderland

FREFFANS WREN has found moderate breaks holding her back in recent weeks, yet her penultimate length third in this grade at the start of the month leaves her with sound claims and she may be ready to strike. Easily forgiven her latest effort (bumped first bend) she's sandwiched in between a couple who have been breaking slower as a rule of late and, in a race essentially lacking any depth, this looks a good opportunity for her to enhance her record in A6 company.
