Timeform provide selections from Doncaster, Nottingham and Sheffield on Monday.
Good Material (T4) is bordering on veteran status but he's still a very capable sort as he proved when striking fast and late in handicap company three starts back. He's been unable to make an impact in A3 company since, but today's handicap doesn't look the strongest and, from what looks a good make-up, he can announce his presence from the three-quarter point and come home powerfully.
The heats of the Graders Derby kick off at Doncaster this evening and we think Burgess Vivato (T6) can get off to a perfect start on the back of some encouraging trials. A strong running sort, his claims on expected final time are second to none and, with his exploits on the sectional clock also standing up to close scrutiny, all looks set fair for a big run.
In a race that doesn't look the strongest on paper, it may well pay to side with early-pacer Mucky Carmac (T4). A steadily progressive sort in graded company, he battled well to taste success in A1 on his penultimate start. Not seen to best effect last time, he promises to be front rank again from lid-rise and we're hopeful he can make all.
