With the Champion Stakes just around the corner, Mark Wallis sends Reel Trickyone back to Romford as he prepares to try and add another big race prize to his haul at the London Road venue.
Already an Essex Vase and Coronation Cup winner, he will hold strong claims to compete the Romford Stayers Triple Crown and can take a step in the right direction with a win over the CD at 22:11.
The Champion trainer, of course, has potentially an even bigger player in the competition courtesy of Adageo Bob, who while facing a stiffer test than in recent weeks, can continue his own domination of the 575m scene (22:40) with the switch to trap five (two from three over CD) unlikely to cause him any serious issues.
Someway off Champion Stakes class at the moment is Tony Collett's Fit to Win but he rates the night's best bet in a six bend maiden (21:40). An eye-catching second on his first run over the trip last week, he is strongly fancied to make it seven wins in his last eleven outings.
Stainless Steel completed a quick fire double last week with wins at Hove and over Romford's 750m trip and Paul Young's charge can overcome a trap four berth (two from five record) in an all railers line-up (21:24).
David Mullins can also enjoy a good night with Bingo Bongo's Irish form coupled with a series of progressive trials good enough to see her score first time up in maiden company (19:31), while Too Swift , although a shade inconsistent elsewhere, has been reserving her best runs for Romford's 400m trip and can prove the point (20:18).
Mullins' Genesis Demester had her race won within a matter of strides last week and while the opposition is far tougher she is worth sticking with - even allowing for the presence of classy Isheforreal on her inside - in the 22:26 given her consistency at the lids.
Ernie Gaskin is also fancied to score well with Straffan Man taken to follow up last week's win (21:56) in a race where Freemount Ger and Rio Minstrel are winning far fewer races than their form would suggest. Gaskin's Reagrove Nidge is also worth giving another chance to having missed the break last week after an impressive debut win the previous Friday and can take the Puppy race (20:34).
And with the Champion Stakes just a few weeks away, a victory for Brisk Bella would not be more apt with David Pruhs' bitch - a litter-sister of current Champion Stakes winner Airport Captain - looking sure to benefit from the switch to trap one (three from eight) (21:06)
