Whatever your Saturday night plans stay close to RPGTV (Sky 431) as the eagerly-awaited Golden Jacket launches into action at Crayford. Darrell Williams pinpoints the wagers you simply can't afford to miss.

"I’m also keen to exploit Sportsbook’s excellent each-way ¼ odds the 1st SIX offer ante post – an offer only usually seen in the Derby and not available elsewhere. In other words, if your selection gets to the Golden Jacket final you are guaranteed to collect on the place part of your bet. A clearly irresistible offer"

For those who can't wait for the final in a fortnight, tonight's fourth heat (21:27) could easily be seen as a potential dress rehearsal. Ante post favourite Brigadier Bullet has done nothing wrong in notching up consecutive trial stakes victories over the course and distance and it would be no surprise were he further enhance his outright status.

However, with long-odds 'plunge' bitch Stardom clearly still getting to grips with the track despite last week's winning introduction and the likelihood of a far better run from Olympic runner-up Queenies Rainbow back in competitive company it is a tough race to analyse.

Personally, at the prices, I'm most interested in Pat Janssen's pair Affleck Bolt and Goldies Hotspur. The latter has been churning out wins for fun over Romford's 750m and while she is arguably at her best there, she was runner-up over the longer 874m trip in the Boxing Day Marathon at Crayford. Affleck Bolt has won his last five, admittedly with a break before winning back at Central Park the other week and while he has no previous form at Crayford a brace of trials suggests it will cause him no issues. Back both against the field.

Each-way terms simply irresistible

I'm also keen to exploit the Betfair Sportsbook's excellent each-way ¼ odds the first SIX offer in the ante post betting - an offer only usually seen in the Derby and not available elsewhere. In other words, if your selection gets to the Golden Jacket final you are guaranteed to collect on the place part of your bet. A clearly irresistible offer.

Savana to sit closer

I'd already put up TV Trophy heroine Savana Winner as a tentative ante-post poke last week and while her late running style is never going to make things easy over what is almost a sprint trip for Diane Henry's charge, I fancy she can collect in tonight's fifth heat (21:45). In a race somewhat limited with its early pace she should be able to settle slightly closer than is usually the case and while Boylesportstwink, a repeat breeding of Dolores Ruth's former Jacket winner Boylesports Star could be anything the evidence we have from Newbridge suggests she is far from chucked in.

Edge has early edge

I'm delighted connections have taken the option to step Droopys Edge up in trip (22:02) and while Irish raider Towcester Story is clearly a threat Dean Childs' bitch will give herself every chance if as expected she is able to control the early speed.

Headford Maurice has already been nibbled at this morning but is still worth including in the first heat (20:17) after a couple of promising trial effects while away from the Jacket Droopys Noodle holds strong claims in the 540 Invitation (22:19).
