"The Liz and Rab McNair British breeding juggernaut keeps on churning out the winners and King Sheeran can add another big race success in tonight’s feature British Breeders Stakes final"

The Liz and Rab McNair British breeding juggernaut keeps on churning out the winners and King Sheeran can add another big race success in tonight's feature British Breeders Stakes final(21:06). The brindle has already enjoyed a highly lucrative campaign with an unbeaten run through another British Bred highlight the Produce Stakes at Swindon and a place in the Derby semi-finals over tonight's Nottingham course and distance.

Fastest in both preliminary rounds in this competition his draw in trap five, the box from which he won the Produce, might suggest at least some concern but with Down To The Felt, despite his wide status, likely to maintain a straight path from trap four the selection can at worst track his rival early on. That's not to play down the chances of Heather Dimmock's runner who for value seekers clearly fits the bill having also reached this stage unbeaten and a reproduction of his semi-final break would certainly make it interesting.

The McNair's also field one of the most prolific British Bred greyhounds of recent years in King Turbo whose draw in trap one inside otherwise seeded rivals affords him due respect. A fortnight shy of veteran status his magnificent career record means he can never be ignored but while he again dug deep in last week's semi-finals this may just prove too much of an ask.

Heads up for Ranger

Puppy Classic runner-up at Nottingham back in the summer Headford Ranger duly made an expectedly impressive six bend debut when hacking up at Central Park last week and is strongly fancied to follow up over the 680m trip (20:37). Kevin Hutton's charge faces prolific CD winner Haggswood River who has obliged in six of her last seven over this trip but is likely to find the selection far too much of a handful tonight.

Waikiki Lad also contested that Puppy Classic final and despite the drop down to 480m Phil Simmonds' charge should have too much ammunition for his rivals in a Puppy contest (19:52).

Gold for Goldikova

Honour Goldikova is an excellent yardstick over the 500m trip for and can claim the preceding contest from her preferred trap two box (19:36) for Adrian McPherson. She will need to be alert early on with Salacres Barley set to make a beeline for the fence but can prove the stronger while useful Colbazkev, another speedy sort, is arguably operating just below his peak mid-summer form.
