Lyreen Mover in action at Wimbledon

Lyreen Mover in action at Wimbledon

"With so much early dash, Lyreen Mover might not be able to dominate the race as he did so brilliantly in the heats."

Two dogs to get against at Sunderland tonight

Blonde Snapper (21:05)

Of all those in this excellent puppy race, you'd take Blonde Snapper as the most likely big-race winner of the future - the 2011 Derby maybe? But we're talking about tonight, a one-off race, and it might not be plain sailing for Mark Wallis's potential champion. He is not an electric starter, although paces up well. But with an early-paced obstacle inside him in Tudor Prince, to win Blonde Snapper will have to sweep to the front round the outside. Of course he did that memorably in the heats last week, but things might have to fall into place again. And something, something just might get away from him.

Lyreen Mover (21:45)

A great will-to-win, but the Derby runner-up will have to be at his very best in a red-hot field for the Classic final. He came away in the semis in good style, but he did drift off a true line at the second bend which makes his vulnerable if the trick is repeated. Also Romeo Reason, at trap-rise, will dive left at the boxes from two, and Lyreen Mover could taken a bump in his very first stride. And with so much early dash, he might not be able to dominate the race as he did so brilliantly in the heats.
