Davis Love III named an experienced trio of Ryder Cup wildcards today but one big name missed out. Joe Dyer has the latest betting news from the Ryder Cup.

Rickie Fowler, JB Holmes and Matt Kuchar have been named as three of Davis Love III four wildcards for the 2016 Ryder Cup team.
The trio join Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed, Jimmy Walker, Brooks Koepka, Brandt Snedeker and Zach Johnson in the side. The final member of the team will be named five days before the event begins at Hazletine National Golf Club on Friday September 30.

Though possessing a poor Ryder Cup record, Bubba Watson can consider himself unlucky to have missed out. The two-time Masters champion sat ninth in the US Ryder Cup points list with Fowler, Holmes and Kuchar occupying the three slots behind him.
None of the quartet can be classed as in-form, however. After a bright start to the prestigious FedEx Cup, Fowler missed out on qualifying for the season-ending Tour Championship after finishing 46th and 59th in the Deutsche Bank and BMW Championships. Holmes had to make a four foot par putt on the final hole of the BMW Championship to make the 30 man field for the FedEx finale. Kuchar has churned out the top 10s once again but looks likely to sign off without a tournament win.
This will be Fowler's third Ryder Cup, while Holmes has only appeared in the 2008 event. Kuchar is the most experienced, having appeared in every edition since 2010.
