For the second year in a row, China's National Open is being hosted by Topwin Golf and Country Club on the northern outskirts of the country's capital Beijing.
Designed by Ian Woosnam and opened in 2009, the course has water hazards on all but three of its holes while its putting surfaces are well-contoured and undulating.
Built close to the scenic hills of Huairou, the Great Wall of China can be viewed from many different parts of this superb parkland course.
Unfortunately, there is very little course form to analyse, regarding Topwin, which is staging a European Tour event for only the second time.
However, two names to conjure with regarding course and current form are Fabrizo Zanotti and David Lipsky.
The duo tied-for-ninth at this venue last year, while also finishing in a share for fifth at Genzon on Sunday.
Zanotti is certainly improving with each passing year and is already a winner during 2017 in Malaysia, where Lipsky finished runner-up.
Two others who played well last week in the southern city of Shenzhen are Ross Fisher and Jordan Smith.
Fisher should win more often than he does while his up-and-coming fellow Englishman has shown remarkable consistency this season.
Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal, who is certainly not scared to taste victory, has enjoyed two reasonable back-to-back weeks during April, while one other player who can never be underestimated, especially on Asian soil, is Thongchai Jaidee.
The veteran from Thailand tied-for-eighth in China last week and will fancy his chances in this fairly mediocre field.
