Phil Mickelson

Mickelson is in arguably the form of his life at present

Odds: [16.0]  Last five PGAs: 36/19/12/73/7 Any idea that Mickelson was declining in his forties was comprehensively dispelled by winning his first Open championship. As Lefty acknowledged afterwards, demonstrating a previously unseen ability to produce his best in tough, links conditions represented a new high in an already superb career. Hopes must be high for a second PGA title and, while back-to-back major winners are rare, he's already defied historical precedent this summer by doing the Scottish/British Open double. On the downside, Mickelson didn't take very well to Oak Hill's narrow layout in 2003, finishing 23rd despite leading after day one.
