Matt Kuchar knows his way around Augusta

"Graeme McDowell might appear to be one of the lesser lights among the strong European contingent, but he shouldn't be under-estimated. Not least because, unlike many of his Ryder Cup team-mates, he tends to reproduce his best form in the States."

It's a major so Paul Krishnamurty gets four attempts at landing a winning bet at three figures - read on for his selections

Matt Kuchar @ [100.0]

Those with long memories may recall a fresh-faced kid running away with the top amateur prize in 1998, having spent the first three days amongst exalted company on the first page of the leaderboard. Twelve years down the line, we're at last seeing Matt Kuchar fulfil his potential.

Very few players have been more consistent over recent months than Kuchar, who has made the top-10 on seven of his last 11 events, including third and eighth respectively in his last two at Doral and Redstone. This will be his first Masters appearance since 2002, but given those previous heroics he should fancy his chances.

Robert Karlsson [140.0]

Though the last three Masters winners all started in triple-figures, none could really be described as unbackable, as they all had top-class winning form on either PGA or European tour to their name. The last two, Trevor Immelman and Angel Cabrera, had both made the top-10 at Augusta previously.

Nobody in this price range better fits those criteria than Karlsson, who won the European money list only two seasons ago. He also made the top-10 at Augusta that year, and while his recent form leaves plenty to be desired, the lanky Swede has landed a top-class event already this year at the Qatar Masters.

Graeme McDowell [160.0]

McDowell might appear to be one of the lesser lights among the strong European contingent, but he shouldn't be under-estimated. Not least because, unlike many of his Ryder Cup team-mates, he tends to reproduce his best form in the States. McDowell was sixth on his penultimate start in elite company at Doral, and made the top-20 in all three US majors in 2009. The top European prize looks a very realistic target, and he could also give us a run for our money at a big price.

Ryan Moore [190.0]

Here's another former winner of the Masters amateur prize who is beginning to fulfil his potential. After a very consistent second half of 2009, including a breakthrough win at the Wyndham Championship, Moore featured on many judges' players to follow in 2010 lists. Despite failing to follow up on a pair of top-tens that opened this campaign, Ryan remains a player of some potential, and well worth a crack at huge odds.
