Although not yet back in America, Bubba Watson will be relieved to be much closer to home and the forecast Thursday conditions mean rain and wind will not be as much of a factor as they were in Scotland; therefore with conditions more to his liking and Glen Abbey's big fairways favouring the longer hitters back Bubba to outscore short hitting opponents Jim Furyk and Tim Clark, who will both be playing their second shots from another zipcode (from Watson).

After a brief scare Graham DeLaet made the cut at the Open Championship and after missing three cuts from three in March, appears to be finding his form once more. With home comforts and a course made for long hitters expect the Canadian to improve on his disappointing Canadian Open record, he at least shot a 63 at last year's tournament, showing signs of starting to cope with the expectation levels. Jason Day and Luke Donald complete a very competitive three-ball but DeLaet's price is too tempting to ignore.

Course winner Vijay Singh did us a good turn two weeks ago and still has more than enough length from the tee to compete at this level. Singh was 18th last time out on the PGA Tour and has a good chance to post another good finish on a course he won on in 2004. The Fijian will be reeling from a missed Open Championship and is a worthy favourite to beat Fabian Gomez and Jonas Blixt.

Scott Piercy comes into this weeks tournament fresh off the back of his third PGA tour victory at last weeks Barbasol Championship; Piercy also has a Canadian Open to his name and is one of the longer hitters on tour. That's a lot of ticks in the right boxes and there is surely a case to be made that the 36-year-old American should be favourite for his three-ball with Brooks Koepka and Graeme McDowell.
