Spaniard has an impressive strike rate on the European Tour and his large three-figure odds looks tempting at the British Masters.

At [150.0], Spain's Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano looks the best three-figure value in this week's British Masters. He very much took the eye in his latest event, when recovering from a disastrous opening round of 80 to make the top-25. That was the second successive week he'd made that mark - signs of life after a poor summer by the high standards already set in his short career.

Since winning the KLM Open on just his 16th professional start in 2005, which earned him the Rookie of the Year award, Castano has won one event each year. That's a superb strike-rate compared to many other much higher-ranked players, (Ryder Cup player Soren Hansen's two wins in ten years for instance).

Clearly he knows how to get the job done, and is a player worth chancing regularly at these odds. Castano's excellent recent stats for putting and par-5 performance also point to a prosperous week at The Belfry, a course where he made the top-15 in 2006.
