Tiger Woods suffered a rare defeat and saw his team whitewashed at the Tavistock Cup match between Isleworth and Lake Nona golf clubs
Spectators can only attend by invitation and are allowed to walk the fairways with the players as they play their rounds.
Woods' Isleworth team went down 10-0 on the opening day of the two-day event as his five pairings all lost, with himself and partner Jon Daly defeated by Henrik Stenson and Chris DiMarco despite carding a better ball 65.
Their opponents shot a better-ball 57, while Englishman Justin Rose and Ian Poulter went round in a combined 61 to beat Robert Allenby and Craig Parry by six shots.
South African duo Retief Goosen and Trevor Immelman beat Stuart Appleby and Nick O'Hern 64-65, while Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell joined former Open champion Ben Curtis for a 63-64 win over Lee Janzen and Scott Hoch.
Ernie Els and Mark McNulty beat Charles Howell and Mark O'Meara 62-66 for the first-day whitewash and continue Woods' misery in team events.
There are still 20 points to play for on Tuesday in the strokeplay event and Woods is due to face Els and Goosen.
Punters appear to believe that the world number one will make amends in the singles and he is currently the 1.73 favourite in a developing market to defeat Els (2.5), while he is fancied at 1.66 to beat Goosen (3).
However, Lake Nona is expected to make their 10-0 lead count and they are odds on at 1.11 to lift the trophy, with Isleworth available at 6.2.
