Tiger Woods is aiming for a fifth win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Florida this week
America's world number one was victorious for four years between 2000 and 2003 and is the Bay Hill tournament's all-time leading money winner on £1.5m.
Woods kicked off his 2007 season with success at the Buick International but has not played since his shock exit from the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. That, however, has not dented his confidence.
The 31-year-old told his personal website: "I've always felt pretty comfortable at Bay Hill. And of course it's a special place because of Arnold.
"He's done so much for the game of golf and that's why players love coming back."
Woods will have his work cut out at an event which will also include the likes of Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen and Vijay Singh.
World number five, Henrik Stenson, who won the recent WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona, has shaken off a dose of flu to confirm his participation.
Woods is the 3.55 favourite to take the honours on home soil, while Mickelson (15), Els (22), Goosen and Singh (both 30) have also come in for support. Sweden's Stenson is available at 25.
