Sunday World Cup Qualifiers Tips: Brazil big to continue winning run

Will Brazil claim another away win when they travel to Colombia?

Brazil are on a long run of consecutive away wins and Dan Fitch thinks that they will beat Colombia, as he previews Sunday's South American World Cup qualifiers...

"With the Brazilians having won each of their last twelve away games, it's again a situation where you have to question why the visitors are so big."

Back Brazil to beat Colombia at 2.111/10

Peru still in the hunt

Bolivia 3.185/40 v Peru 2.3811/8; The Draw 3.711/4

Peru are seventh in the standings after ten games, but are only three points behind fifth placed Colombia in the play-off zone, with eight fixtures remaining.

Bolivia are without a win in nine matches (D2 L7) and with only one victory from ten qualifiers (D3 L6), they are well adrift in ninth place. This looks like an opportunity for Peru to grab a vital three points at 2.3811/8.

Another loss for rock bottom nation

Venezuela 4.216/5 v Ecuador 2.111/10; The Draw 3.185/40

This looks like another match where you have to favour the away side and on this occasion, the visitors Ecuador appear to be available at a bargain price.

Venezuela are rock bottom of the table, with just four points from ten games (W1 D1 L8). In contrast, Ecuador are third (P10 W5 D1 L4) and having beaten Bolivia 3-0 on Friday, look value to win at 2.111/10.

Lucky 13 for Brazil

Colombia 3.9 v Brazil 2.111/10; The Draw 3.185/40

Brazil are on their own at the top of the standings (P9 W9), eight points clear of second placed Argentina and with a game in hand on every other team.

With the Brazilians having won each of their last twelve away games, it's again a situation where you have to question why the visitors are so big. Colombia have only won two of their four home games in these qualifiers (D1 L1) and at 2.111/10, there's no reason to overcomplicate matters. Back Brazil to win again.

Argentina in good form and keeping clean sheets

Argentina 1.728/11 v Uruguay 5.39/2; The Draw 3.711/4

The Copa America winners Argentina are building momentum in the run-up to the 2022 World Cup, having spent some years as international also-rans. Their 0-0 away draw in Paraguay on Friday, extended their unbeaten run to 23 games (W14 D9).

If that sounds like a lot of draws, consider that only two of those stalemates came within the last nine games. In those nine matches, Argentina only conceded three goals and kept six clean sheets. They are 2.77/4 to win to nil, against a Uruguay side that drew 0-0 at home to Colombia in their last outing.

Cautiously back the visitors

Chile 2.01/1 v Paraguay 4.03/1; The Draw 3.39/4

Chile look short here, having only won one of their ten qualifying games (D4 L5). They are without a win in their last seven outings across all competitions (D2 L5), which includes a defeat to Paraguay at the Copa America.

At the risk of breaking the record for sounding like a broken record, the value is all with the visitors. Paraguay are a big enough price that you can back them cautiously in the Draw No Bet market and still get odds of 3.02/1.
