Tips of the Week: Massive profit as City smash Hammers

Can you point me in the direction of some big priced winners Alvaro?

It wasn't just the City fans left smiling after their 6-0 destruction of West Ham last week - the result meant a full-house for B.B tipster Paul Robinson who recommended City minus two, Over 3.5 Goals and, would you believe, 6-0 as a possible Cash Out opportunity! Elsewhere, it was a good weekend for Zonal Marking's Tactical View and Timeform...

"We have to admit there were a few raised eyebrows at Betting.Betfair HQ when Paul's preview of last Wednesday's Capital One Cup semi-final came in, recommending backing both 5-0 at 18.017/1 and 6-0 at 36.035/1 as potential Cash Out bets, but City didn't let him down."

We have to admit there were a few raised eyebrows at Betting.Betfair HQ when Paul's preview of last Wednesday's Capital One Cup semi-final came in, recommending backing both 5-0 at 18.017/1 and 6-0 at 36.035/1 as potential Cash Out bets, but City didn't let him down. The 5-0 scoreline traded at a low of 1.21/5 prior to Edin Dzeko's late strike which finished the scoring.

His more conservative bets - City -2 at 2.245/4 and Over 3.5 Goals at 1.981/1 - also came in, way before the final whistle. A superb effort.

Looking at the weekend just gone and it was a good one for the Zonal Marking's Tactical View team, as Michael Cox's tip for Eden Hazard to score first against Hull at 8.07/1 came in, while Alan Thompson's correct score 'dutch' bet on Chelsea to win 2-0 and 3-0 paid out at around 5.04/1.

Looking down the pyramid and our League One man Alan Dudman made a tasty 4.88 point profit on his column, including a 7.06/1 tip on Bradford to beat Bristol City 1-0, while League Two expert Ian Lamont joined the party with a 3.814/5 recommendation on Torquay to win at AFC Wimbledon.

Finally on the football front, a shout to our Serie A columnist Dave Farrar who backed a draw in Torino v Fiorentina at 3.39/4 continuing what has been a profitable season in Italy so far.

Over to racing and there were a number of nicely priced winners from our friends at Timeform over the course of the week.

The UK SmartPlays saw a double win on Wednesday at Doncaster, advised at 5.95/1 and 5.69/2, while David Cleary also got back-to-back winners in the Timeform Radio Tips on Wednesday and Thursday, both trading around 6.05/1.

The Irish SmartPlays had double wins on Monday and Sunday; the latter would almost certainly have been a treble but for a late faller.

Listeners to the Timeform Radio Antepost Podcast would have heard Matt Gardner recommend Saphir de Rheu to win the Lanzarote Hurdle on Saturday.

Finally, on to golf, and a nice each way winner for Dan Geraghty who picked out top four finisher Tommy Fleetwood in the Volvo Golf Champions in Durban Open at 50.049/1 (paying out at 12.5).
