It was an excellent weekend for our regular weekend football columnists with a whole host of winners, while anyone following our Masters snooker tips would have emerged with a tasty profit...
"Over at the Masters and it was yet another good performance from snooker tipster extraordinaire Paul Krishnamurty, who ended up with a profit of 24 points on his outright tips and 13 points on his daily recommended bets."
Mike Norman was a last ditch Norwich goal away from achieving a full-house of five from five recommended bets in his 3pm Premier League kick-offs preview on Saturday.
Mike backed Arsenal to win to nil against Fulham at 2.1411/10, a 0-0 half-time score in Palace v Stoke at 3.02/1, any unquoted correct score in Man City v Cardiff at 2.89/5 and over 2.5 goals in West Ham v Newcastle at 1.9420/21. But for Ryan Bennett's late header against Stoke, his 3.412/5 draw tip would have paid out as well.
Another one of our regular Saturday columns, Jaymes Monte's Sidemarket Special, was also one goal away from a clean sweep of recommendations, backing Adam Johnson to score v Southampton at 4.67/2 and Arsenal to win to nil at 2.1411/10. Jaymes also picked out Man City to score five or more at 5.24/1, but rubbish team that they are, they only managed the four...
It was also a profitable weekend for the Goalscorer Gamble column, as Dan Fitch picked out Javier Hernandez to score last against Chelsea at 13.012/1, Jose Callejon to find the net for Napoli v Bologna at 3.02/1 an Daniel Sturridge to score against Villa at just under evens.
Elsewhere over the weekend, Kevin Hatchard had two winners from three recommendations in his Liverpool v Aston Villa preview, Dave Farrar tipped Torino to beat Inter Milan at 4.3100/30, Alan Thompson backed Over 2.5 and Over 3.5 Goals at Swansea and Andy Tongue suggested a back of Leicester at Leeds at better than evens.
Finally on the football front and it was a superb week for Paul Robinson's daily Against All Odds column, with five winners from seven, representing a profit of 5.25 points. The standout tip of the week was probably the advice to lay La Liga side Almeria at home to Racing Santander who are two divisions below them - Santander won 2-0.
The Cross-Sport Multiple column had a nice 8.07/1 winner over the weekend, with Andrew Hughes advising a treble of Chelsea to beat Man Utd, Gloucester to beat Perpignan in rugby's Heineken Cup and Seattle Seahawks to overcome the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL.
Over at the Masters and it was yet another good performance from snooker tipster extraordinaire Paul Krishnamurty, who ended up with a profit of 24 points on his outright tips and 13 points on his daily recommended bets.
Having backed eventual winner Ronnie O'Sullivan at 3.8514/5, Paul's pre-tournament snooker previews are now in profit by 234 points since the start of 2013, with an incredible eight winners from 15 events.
Concluding with racing and there was a chunky winner for Nick Shiambouros' 80/20 column on Sunday, as Pink Gin - advised at 18.017/1 - won the 13:10 at Towcester.
