Wayne Rooney told reporters that he will make a decision about his future over the next few weeks. The Manchester United captain made only 15 starts in the Premier League all season and, the fact he says he has a decision to make, means it's almost inevitable that he will leave.
Where will Rooney go? He's evens on Betfair to return to Everton - the club he left United for in 2004 - and has already said he will not play for any other Premier League club. His alternatives then are probably a club from the Chinese Super League or America's MLS. Rooney is 2/1 to go to China and 10/1 to cross the Atlantic to the US.
Regardless of Rooney's future, there will be players coming through the door at Old Trafford this summer. Everton striker Romelu Lukaku could pass Rooney on his way down the M6. He's 9/2 to join United, although the betting suggests he's more likely to return to Chelsea, who sold him to the Toffees in 2014. Lukaku up front for Chelsea next season? You can get 11/10.
Antoine Griezmann is reportedly Jose Mourinho's top target and, this week, the French striker this week rated his chances of joining United at six out of ten. Consequently, he's 1/5 on Betfair to sign for the Red Devils, although Real Madrid are 9/1 to gazump the deal.
There could be plenty of conversations between Old Trafford and the Bernabeu this summer, as Real prepare another bid for United goalkeeper David De Gea. Having failed to land him in 2015, Los Blancos would love to bring home the Spanish stopper. United, though, would love to keep him. De Gea is 15/8 to still be at Old Trafford when the transfer window closes.
United aren't the only Premier League club who could lose their best player to Real this summer. Zinedine Zidane is said to be an admirer of Chelsea's Eden Hazard who's 7/4 to go to the Bernabeu. Diego Costa could also leave Stamford Bridge and trades at 1/2 to go to China in a mega money deal. Replacements? The Blues are 7/2 to bring in Alvaro Morata.
Arsenal fans will be disheartened to learn that Alexis Sanchez is 4/5 to join Bayern Munich this summer. Sanchez has look disillusioned this summer, not least when Arsenal were being tonked by Bayern, and with the Gunners not in the Champions League next season, the Chilean could be on his way.
