Betfair have teamed up with football statistics website WhoScored.com for this week's Ultimate XI, looking ahead to Saturday's showdown between Arsenal and Manchester United.

We're offering you the chance to win a free bet simply by picking what you think will be the best combined team between the two sides based on WhoScored.com's statistically calculated player ratings, selecting a formation and line-up from the squads provided. The ratings from your XI will be added up to give an overall points score, but there are ways to boost your chances.

Each user is given six tokens to allocate to players of their choice: anytime scorer, first scorer, assist provider, most passes, most tackles and man of the match. Successfully match the token to any player and their rating will double. The top ten customers in the leaderboard will then receive a free £10 bet each. Simple!

Without further ado WhoScored.com give us a run down of a couple of top performers from each team this season, compiling their chosen XI based on player ratings.

The top rated individual on display, with a score of 7.85, is Arsenal's new knight in shining armour Alexis Sanchez. It's been a tough start to the season for the Gunners, who would have been significantly further adrift of pace-setters Chelsea were it not for the Chilean's impact.

The former Barca forward has had a direct hand in seven of the last eight league goals from Wenger's men, netting six of those, and his form has certainly been the real positive to take from the season so far for the Londoners. With his current goalscoring exploits in mind, the fact that Sanchez has scored the first goal in each of Arsenal's last four league matches is worthy of consideration when designating your tokens!

The closest challenger on display to the Arsenal man is fellow South American and newcomer to the Premier League Angel Di Maria. The Argentine has shown more than the odd fleeting glimpse of his quality since a big money move from Real Madrid, earning a rating of 7.62 from WhoScored courtesy of his input in the attacking third. Indeed, of all players in this fixture the playmaker has produced at least three more assists than any other (five).

He may have only netted twice in the league since a summer switch between these two English heavyweights but Danny Welbeck has appeased the Arsenal faithful with his willing running from the front. The England international will certainly feel he has a point to prove to Louis van Gaal and is the only player other than Sanchez to have scored a league goal for the Gunners in their last four matches, also registering an assist in that time. With two goals in four appearances in this fixture for the Red Devils, the last of which was a late winner at the Emirates in 2012, Welbeck will want to turn the tables this time around.

The one man best versed in this clash, looking to add to his domestic tally after bagging another three for England during the international break, is Wayne Rooney. Despite being deployed in a deeper midfield role for his club of late the United captain comes into the game in fine form in front of goal and no player in Premier League history has scored more goals against Arsenal (12). An anytime scorer token may well come in handy.

With defensive issues on both sides it's certainly the attacking players that should come out on top in an entertaining battle this weekend, with plenty of firepower on display. Nevertheless, for interest's sake WhoScored have compiled their top rated XI from the two sides, taking injuries into account and looking at those to have made five or more league appearances this season.

If you think you can beat this team be sure to play Betfair's Ultimate XI, in partnership with WhoScored.com, to be in with a chance of winning a free £10 bet this weekend!
