Betfair has curated a unique collection of portraits of Louis van Gaal and Ronald Koeman ahead of tonight's big fixture between Southampton and Manchester United
"Thanks to Kyle's artistic vision, we get the chance to see how these two modern Dutch masters would have been portrayed 400 years ago by two of the original 'Dutch Masters'"
Louis Van Gaal and Ronald Koeman go head-to-head for the first time in the Premier League tonight. It's a big game. Big for English football. Big for Dutch football.
And as with all historical events, this deserves a painting.
So we've commissioned four unique portraits of the duo - in the style of 'Dutch Master' artists Vincent Van Gogh and Johannes Vermeer. But there's a modern day twist. The artwork has been created using an iPad.
We teamed up with renowned iPad artist Kyle Lambert to create the collection before Manchester United take on Southampton on Monday evening. Van Gogh and Vermeer are regarded as 'Dutch Masters of Art'. We wanted to see how they would have painted the 'Dutch Masters of Football' in this day and age.
Van Gogh and Vermeer were undoubtedly brilliant. But could they do it on an iPad? Probably. Either way, thanks to Kyle's artistic vision, we get the chance to see how these two modern Dutch masters would have been portrayed 400 years ago by two of the original 'Dutch Masters'
