Fantasy Premier League expert Holly Shand outlines five standout performers who could reward a transfer into your FPL team and a winning bet in Gameweek 14...
"Diogo Jota blew Southampton away last weekend and I'm expecting a similar performance in the Merseyside Derby this time out."
The Goalscorer Bet: Diogo Jota - Everton (A)
Diogo Jota blew Southampton away last weekend and I'm expecting a similar performance in the Merseyside Derby this time out. While Salah tends to take the fantasy headlines, it's Jota who has been posting the better numbers over the last four games.
Jota has had 11 shots on target, with five big chances leading to three goals. Seven of those shots in the box came last weekend, the best tally of any player in the Premier League. His starting berth looks secure while Roberto Firmino remains out with a hamstring injury.
The derby comes at a good time for Liverpool, who are high on confidence, having scored twelve goals in their last four appearances. Everton have conceded 11 chances during this spell - only Leicester City have conceded more. There's high hopes for more Jota returns.
Jota is available to back at 6/1 to score two or more goals against Everton this week.
The Assist Pick: Allan Saint-Maximin - Norwich (H)
Newcastle United are still waiting for their first Premier League win of the season and must grasp the opportunity against Norwich this midweek to have hope of avoiding the drop. With plenty of defensive problems, they'll need a big offensive performance in front of the home crowd once more.
Allan Saint-Maximin impressed last time out at St. James Park against Brentford, where he scored a goal and got an assist. He's had nine shots in his last four games. Opponents Norwich are improving defensively though, having conceded just four big chances in their last four.
Saint-Maximin is available to back at 3/1 to assist against Norwich on Tuesday.
The Penalty Bet: Harry Kane - Brentford (H)
There was huge disappointment for Spurs backers last weekend when their fixture against Burnley was called off within an hour of kick-off due to snow. However, there's another great opportunity for Kane and co. to notch some goals this midweek with a home game against Brentford.
Kane has just one goal so far in this campaign, but is certainly due another attacking return soon, under new manager Antonio Conte. Brentford are conceding plenty of chances right now, with 11 big chances conceded in their last four games.
If Kane scored against Brentford, he will extend his tally of scoring against all 30 Premier League teams that he has faced. It's an astounding record for the England captain and one that he will be determined to maintain going into this midweek fixture.
You can bet on Spurs to score a penalty against Brentford at odds of 10/3.
The Clean Sheet Bet: Reece James - Watford (A)
There was surprise disappointment for Reece James owners last time out as he failed to deliver any fantasy returns in a Premier League game he started for the first time this season. However, with four goals, four assists and four clean sheets already, he looks destined to add to those tallies soon.
A tie against promoted side Watford looks enticing on paper. James has registered 11 key passes in his last four games, leading to two big chances delivering two assists. He's also had 10 shots on goal in this time, with seven of those coming from inside the box.
Chelsea's defence has been consistent, despite an individual error from Jorginho against Manchester United at the weekend. They've conceded just three big chances in their last four games, having conceded just eight shots on target, the best tally of any Premier League side.
Chelsea are available to back at 11/10 to to win to nil against Watford this week.
The Odds-Against Goalscorer Bet: Bruno Fernandes - Arsenal (H)
With new manager Ralf Rangnick expected to lead Manchester United at Old Trafford for the first time on Thursday, there could be some big performances in their squad. Fernandes looks to be the option to go for right now: he leads the way for key passes (38) this season.
He's expected to remain on penalties at Old Trafford, having converted 13 spot-kicks during his time at Old Trafford. Arsenal have been over-performing their defensive numbers in recent games, having conceded just four goals from ten big chances.
Back Bruno Fernandes to score against Arsenal at 17/10 in Gameweek 14.
