Betfair's non-league football supremo Gary Boswell is not swayed by the romance of the FA Cup and will be saving his money for a few matches he has his eye on in the Blue Square league.

The whole of Non-League football and its uncle will have eyes swivelled on to Westleigh Park on Wednesday as Shaun Gale and his Havant and Waterlooville Hawks chase the ultimate prize of a trip to Anfield in the next round of the FA Cup.

It's costing the Havant board the princely sum of £12,500 in policeman's wages to stage the fixture and the stark reality is that the club stands to lose money on this one again as it did last year to stage the first round tie against Millwall. Such is the precarious world of non-league football's finances but the right to play the replay on their own pitch has been fought for and earned and who's to say that another giantkilling is not on the cards? Form study suggests that even [7.0] on a Havant win is a trifle mean - given that Swansea remain a soaring side from three leagues higher - but form study does not really come into such games. Swansea clearly outclassed Havant at the Liberty but there was a definite sense that the Havant goal shrank whenever Swansea attacked it. The hit the woodwork stat went off the scale and the Swans must have offended the footballing gods to be only 1-0 up when the fisticuffs began.Havant played their unsettling trump card.

Swansea were ultimately scuppered by their own sense of frustration and that is Havant's best chance again as they seek to extend an extraordinary cup run - a genuine giantkilling sequence in which they have been fancied to win none of the games!

When it came to recommending Chasetown to beat Port Vale, there was a sense that the unthinkable was possible because Chasetown had actually proved that they could play. You don't get that with Havant. I have consistently avoided tipping their successes all season simply because I believed they weren't good enough.

And they aren't.Justin Gregory has a bit of guile and Alfie Potter can dribble. Jamie Collins is an inspirational figure that can motivate but as a unit, I rate Havant as very vulnerable and lacking in the real technical skill areas. They are on my list of Blue Square South teams to get beaten.Which just goes to show!

Despite my affiliations with non-league and the fact that I have opposed the league team in the past simply out of loyalty, I won't do it on Wednesday night because I would be a hypocrite if I did. I haven't fancied Havant all season and I don't fancy them now.

Which does of course mean that you should be getting your life savings out and lumping on the best bet you'll ever stake!

At the risk of being proved a complete dolt if Havant do go on and win (which they may well given the form I'm in at the moment!), I will be saving my dosh for the midweek league action in which I do have several serious fancies.

Blyth Spartans have a fair keeper in Adam Bartlett and manager Harry Dunn is on my list of good guys but they host a rampant Barrow on Tuesday night. The Bluebirds' poor away form is a legacy of the Phil Wilson times and they are a different kettle of fish now. The strikeforce of Walker and Rogan ably supported by the impressive Matt Henney will give the home defence plenty to think about.Blyth'll do well to scrounge a point. At [2.6], they are a confident home lay.

I'm also keen to lay Hyde at around that price as they visit the Valley. Redditch have been gradually inching into form since Carl Heggs' arrival and although they will do well to keep a clean sheet against an attacking Tigers team, I fancy Gary Whild has finally injected some self- belief into the Reds' attack and they are value against the book in this one.

I'll also take an injury ravaged Burscough on at around [1.8] as they host a Tamworth team that might finally have found its feet for the season.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

2pt LAY on Blyth Spartans at [2.6] or less at home to Barrow

1.5pt LAY on Hyde United at [2.6] or less away at Redditch

1pt LAY on Burscough at [1.8] or less at home to Tamworth
