Stories of Claude Puel's departure are once again swirling and the Leicester City manager is a strong favourite in Betfair's Next Manager To Leave betting
"If today's reports in the Sunday Mirror are to be believed the Frenchman has just two games to save his bacon with Roberto Martinez and Thierry Henry waiting in the wings to replace him."
Claude Puel starts this season exactly as he ended last - under pressure at Leicester City and a frontrunner to be the next Premier League manager out of a job.
One of Belgium pair to take the King Power throne?
If today's reports in the Sunday Mirror are to be believed the Frenchman has just two games to save his bacon with Roberto Martinez and Thierry Henry waiting in the wings to replace him.
The Betfair Sportsbook has reacted by moving Puel from 9/2 in to 2/1 to be the first top-flight manager sacked this season.
Last season ended poorly for the 2015-16 champions, with the Foxes picking up just four points from their final seven fixtures to fade into a ninth placed finish and stories of Puel's departure were rife.
But the club hierarchy kept faith in Puel, investing heavily in player recruitment over the summer, and now seems a strange time to act given the team started the season with one of the toughest away fixtures in the league, losing 2-1 to Manchester United in a game where they put a spirited display and lost no face in defeat.
Next weekend's derby with Wolves now takes on an ominous look and the current even money on a home win may well drift as we get closer to kickoff.
Three other candidates for the chop
Three other managers can be backed at single figure odds - 8/1 Neil Warnock, 17/2 Rafa Benitez and 9/1 Jose Mourinho.
