Borussia Dortmund v Holstein Kiel - Champions League chase to strike sparks

At one stage under coach Niko Kovac, Borussia Dortmund were in 11th spot in the Bundesliga and looking unlikely to even qualify for Europe, let alone the Champions League. Now they sit in fifth, and a win at home to already-relegated Holstein Kiel gives them a great chance of once again stamping their ticket for European football's top competition.
Dortmund need to win, and hope that fourth-placed Freiburg don't win at home to third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt. If Freiburg do win, all is not lost for BVB, because if Kovac's team win by multiple goals or Eintracht lose by more than a goal they will edge out the Eagles on goal difference.
Dortmund have won six and drawn one of their last seven Bundesliga matches, including last weekend's farewell-crashing victory at Bayer Leverkusen. It's difficult to work out whether it's the product of excellent coaching by Kovac, or whether it's just a return to the levels this talented and expensively-assembled squad should have been producing all along.
Holstein Kiel have been relegated with a game to spare, but frankly they deserve credit for keeping the campaign alive this long. It's their first ever Bundesliga season, they barely spent any money in the summer, and they lack experience at this level.
What's remarkable about the Storks is how attack-minded they have been, and they have actually scored in all 16 of their away matches in the league this term. Given that Dortmund have only managed one clean sheet in their last 13 competitive matches, I'll happily back Both Teams To Score here at 1.8810/11.

RB Leipzig v Stuttgart - Can Leipzig start Conference League journey?
Saturday 17 May, 14:30
Live on Sky Sports App
Since coming into the Bundesliga for the first time in 2015, Leipzig have never really threatened to win the league, but they have also never finished outside the top six. They have qualified for the Champions League in each of the past six seasons, but that run is now at an end after Die Roten Bullen drew against Bayern and then Werder Bremen.
The best Leipzig can now hope for is a place in the Conference League, and to get that they must get a better result against Stuttgart than Mainz manage at home to Bayer Leverkusen. There is added incentive to qualify for the UECL - not only would Leipzig be one of the favourites to win the trophy, but the 2026 final will take place in their very own Red Bull Arena.
However, it's tough to back Leipzig at 2.111/10, as they face a Stuttgart team that's found form and that is full of players desperate to show they should be in the starting XI for the DFB Pokal final later this month. Stuttgart won 1-0 at St Pauli and then thrashed Augsburg 4-0, and they have already beaten Leipzig twice this term across the league and the cup.
All of the pressure is on Leipzig here, and I'll rely on the Stuttgart's squad's competitive tension ahead of the cup final. Let's back Stuttgart +0.5 on the Asian Handicap at 1.9210/11.

Hoffenheim v Bayern - Olise to maintain hot streak
Saturday 17 May, 14:30
Live on Sky Sports App
Amidst all the talk of Bayern Munich potentially pairing Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz with Jamal Musiala, it shouldn't be forgotten that Michael Olise has outperformed both of them when you combine goals and assists. The former Crystal Palace star has had an outstanding maiden Bundesliga season, delivering 11 goals and a league-high 14 assists in the top division alone.
Olise has delivered both a goal and an assist in each of his last two league games, and he has found the net in each of his last three appearances. He is 6/42.50 to score here against a Hoffenheim team that could be dropped into the relegation playoff spot with a heavy defeat.
Hoffenheim have drastically underperformed all season, and the mid-season arrival of coach Christian Ilzer doesn't seem to have had a positive effect. TSG have conceded 64 goals in 33 league matches, including 12 in the last four games alone.
Olise should get lots of chances here as Bayern play without pressure, having already delivered the meisterschale with two games to spare.
