The Big Wednesday Multiple: Liverpool kids to bag the win at West Brom

Raheem Sterling has shown Rodgers that the youth team are good enough

It's that time of the week for the Big Wednesday Multiple as Paul Robinson selects a home win, an away win, a match to go over 2.5 goals and a match to go Under 2.5 Goals. Here are his selections

Back Stuttgart @ 1.75 (3/4); Back Liverpool @ 2.45 (29/20); Back Over 2.5 Goals in Arsenal v Coventry @ 1.35 (7/20); Back Under 2.5 Goals in Catania v Atalanta @ 1.64 (16/25); The Multiple pays approximately 9.49 (17/2)

Bet 1: Stuttgart (HOME) @ 1.75 (3/4)

We kick off this week's multi with a trip to Germany for a Bundesliga match between Stuttgart and Hoffenheim.

Stuttgart have made a slow start to their campaign and last year's sixth placed finishers are second from bottom with just two points from their opening four fixtures. Bruno Labbadia's men began with back to back defeats but they have since steadied the ship somewhat; picking up two draws in the league and one in the Europa.

Hoffenheim started the season with three defeats but got off the mark with a 3-1 home win over Hannover on Sunday. Markus Babbel must be worried about his side's form on the road though as it's now 10 defeats in the last 16, with just four victories.

Stuttgart had an excellent home record last year; winning six of their last seven and drawing the other one, and I'm backing them to resume that progress tonight.

Bet 2: Liverpool (AWAY) @ 2.45 (29/20)

In somewhat of a surprise selection, I am taking Liverpool to beat West Brom and give us our away win of the week.

Steve Clarke's men won the league version of this fixture 3-0 little over a month ago, but the Reds were on top during the first half, before they imploded after going down to 10 men. Since then, Liverpool's performances have improved as Brendan Rodgers' players have started to become more comfortable with his style of play.

The Baggies have huge selection worries ahead of tonight's clash; up to nine players could be missing, including the suspended Peter Odemwingie and the injured James Morrison. Liverpool have injury concerns as well but I would expect them to field a similar team to the one that put five goals past Young Boys in Europe last Thursday.

Bet 3: Arsenal v Coventry (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.35 (7/20)

In form Arsenal take on the woefully out of form Coventry in the Capital One Cup this evening and it has all the makings of a high scoring home win.

Arsene Wenger was one of the first manager's to use this competition to field his youngsters and while he won't be playing his first choice XI tonight, the Gunners have quite a lot of strength in depth at the moment. The likes of Andrei Arshavin, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and perhaps even Olivier Giroud could all start and they will all be looking to impress in order to force their way in to the first team.

Coventry are in dire straits; relegated to League One and second bottom with just three points from their opening eight games. Newly appointed boss, Mark Robins, has a huge task on his hands, something which would have hit home after a 2-1 home defeat in his first match on Saturday.

Bet 4: Catania v Atalanta (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.64 (16/25)

We finish in Italy this week for a Serie A fixture between Atalanta and Catania. These pair sit ninth and 10th in the table respectively after the opening four games of the season and I expect it to be a tight, low scoring affair.

Stretching back to last season; 11 out of Catania's last 15 home fixtures have gone under 2.5 goals, with five of them going under 1.5, including the 0-0 draw with Napoli last time out.

Similarly to their opponents, 11 of Atalanta's last 15 away league fixtures have gone under 2.5, including both from this season, with four 0-0's recorded during that spell.

All the stats point to this being low scoring but if you're not convinced yet, then how about the last seven scorelines between the pair; 2-0, 1-1, 0-0, 0-0, 1-0, 1-0 and 0-0.
