Bet 1: The Draw in Cruzeiro v Flamengo @ 3.2 (11/5) - Live on BT Sport 1 @ 20:00 BST
It's been a week to remember for Cruzeiro as they beat Palmeiras here last Sunday and then won 2-0 at Atletico PR on Wednesday - with Atletico PR going on to hold leaders Corinthians last night.
Opponents, Flamengo, recorded their sixth straight victory in all competitions last Saturday but that run came to a halt in midweek as they were beaten 1-0 at home by Gremio.
Zé Ricardo's side need to bounce back tonight if they want to keep their title hopes alive, but it certainly won't be easy in Belo Horizonte. The hosts have taken 10 points from a possible 12 of late on this ground and they have faced a couple of tough teams during that period.
The visitors are unbeaten in four on the road though and I think that they are good value for a draw this evening.
Bet 2: Gremio @ 1.5 (1/2)
This time last week I had Gremio down as my absolute bankers of the treble but they flopped miserably at odds of [1.25] at home to Avai.
Renato Portaluppi managed to lift his players to pull off a huge win at Flamengo on Thursday however and I'm willing to give them another chance at a short price.
Their opponents are the 15th placed, Ponte Preta and they haven't won on their travels since June 2016. Since then they have played 19 times, drew seven and lost a dozen times. They have even failed to score in their five most recent away outings.
Gremio need to get back to winning ways in Porto Alegre following defeats to Corinthians and the aforementioned, Avai, and with Corinthians dropping two points yesterday, they certainly have the incentive to do so.
Bet 3: Atletico MG @ 2.15 (23/20)
It's been a difficult league season for Atletico Mineiro to date as just when it appeared that things were clicking into gear, they go and lose at home to Santos.
Prior to that, the Rooster has earned a relatively decent point at Botafogo and that means that they have now collecting seven points from their last three matches on the road.
This evening they go to at Atletico GO side that are rock bottom of the Campeonato, having taken just eight points from their opening 13 fixtures.
Even at home they have lost to Atletico PR and Vitoria over the course of the last four weeks and it's difficult to see them being competitive at this new higher level since their promotion from Serie B.
