Against All Odds: Roma's goal struggles to continue

Another winner in South America last night sees Paul Robinson in good form and he returns to Europe this evening as he thinks that the Roma versus Frosinone match will be lower-scoring than the markets are predicting.

"In fact, it’s just nine goals in 11 games in all competitions for ‘The Yellow-Reds’ and three of those came in one outing at Chievo."

Roma v Frosinone
Saturday January 30, 19:45 GMT

This should be a fairly routine win for the hosts as Roma are one of the powerhouses of Italian football. They haven't quite been performing as well as they should have been this season though as after 21 matches they are only in fifth place - six points adrift of Inter in fourth.

The goals have dried up for Luciano Spalletti's side as their last three scorelines have been 1-1, 1-1 and 1-0, with the latter being a defeat at Juventus.

In fact, it's just nine goals in 11 games in all competitions for 'The Yellow-Reds' and three of those came in one outing at Chievo. They won't get many better chances to to get their confidence back in front of goal than tonight as they welcome a Frosinone team to Stadio Olimpico who have the worst defensive record in the whole of Serie A.

I won't delve too deep into the stats here as they really don't make good reading for them or for us, but they did draw 0-0 at the weekend against Atalanta and that will hopefully see them turn a corner.

I wouldn't want to be trusting Roma to rack up the goals tonight, so with over 2.5 trading as short as 1.558/15, I have to make it my lay of the day.
