Perfect start for the Portuguese
It's been a perfect start to the season for Porto, winning all five of their Primeira Liga games without conceding a goal.
After finishing second to Benfica last season, Porto replaced their coach Nuno Espirito Santo with Sergio Conceicao. The former Portuguese international impressed during a brief spell at Nantes last season, in which he took over the French club when they were in the relegation zone in December and guided them to seventh place in Ligue 1.
Besiktas are also unbeaten, winning three of their four league games this season, as they look to defend their Super Lig title.
Their manager Senol Gunes has a richer pedigree than his younger opponent, having guided Turkey to third place in the 2002 World Cup. Since taking charge of Besiktas in 2015, his team has won the title in two successive seasons.
Last season exploits should give Besiktas hope
Porto are the big favourites at [1.57], but that price somewhat ignores the fine performance from Besiktas in last season's Champions League.
The Turkish champions drew four of their games and enjoyed a memorable 3-2 win away at Napoli, only to inexplicably be thrashed 6-0 by a Dynamo Kiev side that had not won a single game in the group stage until that point.
Ignoring that freak result, there is no reason to think that Besiktas will be blown away by Porto, based on last season's results. They twice drew with the Benfica side that would win the title ahead of Porto and the odds of [4.2] for the draw look too big to ignore.
Back the draw between Porto and Besiktas at [4.2]
