We're dipping our toe into the Ligue 1 waters tonight, and Kev thinks Nantes are worth opposing.

"Nantes have won just one of their last nine league games, and Dijon recently managed impressive draws at Saint Etienne and Montpellier."

Dijon to impress on the road again

Never mind Golazzo, just a goal would've been nice in Italy last night, but alas Parma's winning run was halted by a bore draw against Cittadella.

We're not going too far for our next selection. Nantes are up against Dijon in Ligue 1, and there's an argument to say the odds-on hosts are too short to take the win.

Having pulled off the greatest piece of football alchemy the Premier League has ever seen by winning the title with Leicester City, Claudio Ranieri has done a solid job with Nantes. The Canaries finished seventh last term, and this season they are eighth, and still in the mix for a place in Europe.

However, Ranieri's men have faltered in recent weeks. They have won just one of their last nine Ligue 1 contests, and at home they have taken maximum points from just one of their last six games.

Dijon are safe from the drop, and are playing well, especially on the road. They have lost just one of their last seven games, and away from home they are unbeaten in four, picking up impressive draws at Saint Etienne and Montpellier.

Nantes are a skinny 1.72 to win, and that's a price I'm happy to take on, especially when you consider Dijon beat Nantes in the reverse fixture.
