Marseille v PSG

They had been leading the way at the top of the division but 11 dropped points since the beginning of February has seen Marseille slip to third. All is not lost though as victory here would see them move ahead of PSG into second, just a single point behind leaders, Lyon.
Winning against the defending champions is a big ask however, despite home-field advantage. I wouldn't completely rule it out though as their form has improved this month - thrashings of Toulouse and Lens, and a solid draw with Lyon.
It's the goal-side of things that interests me tonight as with 60 scored and 31 conceded so far this term, Marcelo Bielsa's teams matches are averaging 3.03 goals each time. A majority 19 of their 30 have gone over 2.5 goals, with 11 of those going over 3.5 - and with 10 goals scored over their last three outings, L'OM's attacking players are clearly in decent heart.
PSG were expected to stroll to the title but a lacklustre start has had them on the back-foot throughout the season. Victory here would shoot them back to the top of the table though and with none of the top five left to play, it's quite conceivable that they could finish the season with nothing but wins, making it impossible for anyone to catch them.
As far as the goals go, Laurent Blanc's side have scored 55 and conceded 28 this year, which means that they're fixtures are averaging 2.77 goals per 90 minutes. Like their opponents, 11 of their 30 would have seen under 3.5 goal layers paid out, five of which came in their last half dozen matches.
Yesterday's selection let us down badly so we could do with bouncing back with a winner. Not only is this selection a solid pick, it's also an excellent price. That's why, with under 3.5 goals trading at around the 1.392/5 mark, I have to make it my lay of the day.
