Times' stats guru Bill Edgar returns with more analysis as he looks ahead to the Super Sunday clash between Liverpool and Spurs, and games featuring Palace and Celtic...

"Celtic have blasted away the opposition in the subsequent nine rounds of matches (although Celtic themselves have played 10 games), as the chart shows. This Sunday they are [1.81] with the Betfair Exchange to underline that dominance by winning at home to second-placed Rangers."

Luka looks likely scorer from spot

Crystal Palace became closely associated with penalties when Andrew Johnson scored 11 Premier League goals from the spot in 2004-05 and the South London club have been reviving that connection recently. Luka Milivojevic has benefited from Palace's propensity to win penalties, converting 12 times from the spot since the start of 2018, five more times than any other player in the Premier League. Given that a goal-shy Palace (11 at home in the league all season) face the doomed Huddersfield Town at Selhurst Park it might be worth a bet on Milivojevic to hit the first goal: he is 15-2 with the Betfair Sportsbook to do so.

Tottenham's Mersey treats

Tottenham Hotspur end their 22-day wait for a match when they play away to Liverpool on Sunday - Euro 2020 qualifiers and their absence from the FA Cup quarter-finals created that gap - and they will hope to continue their goal-filled run on Merseyside. They have won 7-0 away to Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup this season, beaten Everton 6-2 and 3-0 on their past two visits to Goodison Park, and recovered from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield last season. Mauricio Pochettino's team are 9-4 with the Betfair Sportsbook to score at least two goals, via the "over 1.5 goals" bet.

Celtic supreme

Only three points separated leaders Celtic from fourth place in the Scottish Premiership at the winter break - and the gap from first to sixth was only eight points - but that has changed dramatically. Celtic have blasted away the opposition in the subsequent nine rounds of matches (although Celtic themselves have played 10 games), as the chart shows. This Sunday they are [1.81] with the Betfair Exchange to underline that dominance by winning at home to second-placed Rangers.
