Germans to make no mistake in the last chance saloon

Bet 1: Back Germany -2 Goals @ 6/4 - KO 15:00 BST

The 2018 World Cup finally came to life for Germany in the fifth minute of injury time against Sweden on Saturday evening as Toni Kroos rocketed home a free kick from a difficult angle to give his team the win and put them right back in the picture to qualify for the last 16.

The reigning champions played much better against the Swedes than they did against Mexico, and I would imagine that Joachim Low will keep a pretty similar line-up today - although Jerome Boateng will definitely not be playing following his red card.

Opponents, South Korea, have played two and lost two, so unless they pull off a shock victory, and results go their way elsewhere, they will be on the plane home after the group phase.

I have been disappointed in their performances to date and if the Kroos goal can prove to be the catalyst for the Germans, I can see the Europeans running out comfortable winners this afternoon - and they may even need to chase a wide margin win if Sweden are beating Mexico.

Swiss to roll over Costa Rica

Bet 2: Back Switzerland @ 4/6 - KO 19:00 BST

The Swiss have done the hard work as they got an opening draw against Brazil, before beating Serbia last time. A victory this evening against the group's weakest team will guarantee their passage through to the knockout rounds, and even though they might not end up needing it, I still fancy them to get the job done.

Costa Rica were downed by two late goals against Brazil on Friday, but they didn't look particularly dangerous in that match, and they also failed to find the net against Serbia prior to that.

Óscar Ramírez's men have now lost their last four games - scoring just one goal in the process. Switzerland on the other hand are unbeaten in eight - five of which were wins - and they won't want to lose any momentum heading into the last 16.

Brazil to keep Serbia at bay

Bet 3: Back Brazil to win to nil @ 6/4 - KO 19:00 BST

The Brazilians and pre-tournament favourites haven't really fired in Russia but they have still taken four points from their opening two games - which is more than could be said for some other leading nations.

It took late goals from Coutinho and Neymar to get the job done against Costa Rica, but once the first went in, they looked the Brazil team we expect to see - even if it was only for a short period of time.

Manager, Tite, was famous for his defensive organisation when achieving success at Corinthians and Brazil kept plenty of clean sheets in the run-up to this tournament.

Serbia aren't a bad team at all, but they aren't in the same class as their South American opponents, and 6/4 for a Brazil win to nil is just too big to turn down.
