The Daily Acca: Hodgson to sign off from Selhurst with a win

Crystal Palace manager - Roy Hodgson
Roy Hodgson waves goodbye to Selhurst Park today

Paul Robinson came frustratingly close to landing the Daily Acca yesterday, and he's aiming for compensation in tonight's Premier League matches. Here are his selections:

Back Newcastle & Crystal Palace to win, and Over 2.5 Goals in West Brom v West Ham @ an Odds Boost of 19.018/1

Magpies to see off the Blades

Bet 1: Back Newcastle @ 3/4 - KO 18:00 BST

Sheffield United pulled off a shock win at Goodison Park on Sunday, but the truth is, Everton have been terrible at home this season, and they put in a truly shocking display.

Newcastle, on the other hand, are playing some good stuff at present, and I can forgive them their 3-4 reverse against Man City on Friday. Prior to that they won 4-2 at Leicester, and they have recently beaten Burnley and West Ham, also earning a point at Anfield.

Callum Wilson is out injured, but that didn't stop them from scoring three against City, and Joe Willock is in sensational goal-scoring form.

A fine Selhurst send-off for Hodgson

Bet 2: Back Crystal Palace @ 5/1 - KO 19:00 BST

Yesterday's announcement from Roy Hodgson means that this is his last game in charge of Palace at Selhurst Park, and with fans in attendance, I think they are overpriced to beat Arsenal.

The Gunners aren't a team to have any faith in, especially at short prices. They have won their last three in the league - including a victory over Chelsea - but that means little in the context of this fixture, given just how inconsistent they are.

The hosts have won two of their last three, and they scored three times against Villa on this ground, at the weekend.

Expect more goals at the Hawthorns

Bet 3: Back Over 2.5 Goals in West Brom v West Ham @ 8/13 - KO 20:15 BST

West Ham's season isn't finishing how they would have hoped it would a few weeks ago, but they can still qualify for Europe, so victory at the Hawthorns is essential.

The Baggies were unlucky to lose to Liverpool on Sunday, but they again showed that despite their relegation, they will continue putting it all in, until the end of the campaign.

Goals have been flowing in their matches of late, with six of their last seven seeing this selection land. The same can be said for three of the Hammers' last four on the road.
