Hungary got off to the perfect start in their Nations League bid, as they edged out England 1-0. It was a solid performance in which Marco Rossi's side carried a goal threat, and it was hard to argue that the hosts didn't deserve at least a point in Budapest. Given that they reached the finals of EURO 2020 and that they are in League A of this competition, this is a purple patch for the Magyars.

Italy, wounded by their failure to reach back-to-back World Cups, are experimenting with personnel. Although the Azzurri played well at times in a 1-1 draw with Germany, it was understandably a disjointed display at times, and the visitors could have won if they had been more clinical in front of goal.

I expect Roberto Mancini to shuffle his pack again, and Hungary will just look to sit deep and hit on the counter. Hungary have lost by multiple goals in just two of their last 26 matches, and I think they can keep things tight here, so we'll give them a two-goal start on the Handicap.

Classic clash to deliver

Bet 2: Both Teams To Score in Germany v England at 4/5 - KO 19:45

This is a fascinating game between a resurgent Germany and an England side that is licking its wounds after a dismal defeat in Budapest against Hungary.

Germany are unbeaten since Hansi Flick replaced Joachim Löw as the Bundestrainer, and there are signs they could be a force once again at the World Cup. There is a strong Bayern feel about the side, both in terms of shape and personnel. That's hardly a surprise when you consider Flick led Bayern to domestic and European glory in 2020. In the recent 1-1 draw with Italy in Bologna, Germany made plenty of good chances without being clinical, but they gave up a few too.

England looked tired and toothless against Hungary, but Flick's sides let you play, and the high defensive line the hosts will use in Munich should allow England's pace in attack to come to the fore. If Raheem Sterling starts, I can see him causing Germany problems in transition, just as he did at Wembley last year.

I think both sides will score in an entertaining game.

Some-Fin tells me this'll be dull

Bet 3: Under 2.5 Goals in Finland v Montenegro at 8/15 - KO 17:00

There was late disappointment for Finland last time out, as they conceded a last-gasp leveller against Bosnia-Herzegovina in a 1-1 draw. Since EURO 2020 they have won just three of their ten games, scoring just nine goals in that spell. 13 of their last 15 matches have seen an Under 2.5 Goals bet land.

Montenegro have won their last two international matches against Greece (1-0) and Romania (2-0), but they don't tend to be that expansive either. 13 of their last 23 matches post-lockdown have featured fewer than three goals, including six of their last eight UNL games.
