Wednesday represents the calm before the World Cup storm and Paul Robinson is aiming to wake up to a winner with a late night Brazilian treble for today's edition of the Daily Acca. Here are his selections:
Flu to catch Santos on a cold streak
Bet 1: Back Fluminense @ 5/4 - KO 23:00 BST
The selection come into this game on the back of three straight defeats, but two of those were on the road, and the one at home was against top of the table, Flamengo.
Prior to that, Fluminense, had won four of their opening eight matches and lost just twice. On this ground their record this season is three wins, one draw and the aforementioned defeat to the current leaders.
Santos are a big name in Brazilian football but they aren't performing in the league this year. They won their Copa Libertadores group, but in the Campeonato they are down in 16th place with just 10 points from a possible 30.
Jair Ventura's side have already lost half a dozen times this year and away from home it's a miserable return of one point from five outings - with just two goals scored in the process.
Leaders to get a draw at Palmeiras
Bet 2: Back The Draw in Palmeiras v Flamengo @ 12/5 - KO 01:00 BST (Thurs)
The big game of the night from Brazil sees champions of two years ago, Palmeiras, take on the form team of the season - Flamengo.
The hosts are way too short in the betting for this clash in my opinion, and while I can't bring myself to tip an away win, I am rather pleased to see that the draw is available to back at 12/5.
The visitors - and leaders - have only been beaten once in 11 starts this year and eight of the 11 have ended in victory. Their last five matches have all been wins to nil, and even away from they have taken 10 points from five fixtures.
Palmeiras scuppered Sunday's edition of the Daily Acca by conceding an 87th minute equaliser at Ceara, but it did at least extend their unbeaten run to three.
They are sixth in the table ahead of tonight's fixtures but are already eight points behind their opponents here, and so far this season they have failed to beat both Chapecoense and Sport Recife on this ground.
Internacional to brush aside Vasco da Gama
Bet 3: Back Internacional @ 1/2 - KO 01:45 BST (Thurs)
We finish with what should hopefully be a penalty kick as Internacional have firmly re-established themselves in the Brazilian top flight following a one year foray in the second tier.
Odair Hellmann's men are fifth in the league having taken 19 points from their 11 outings to date. Having lost two of their four opening fixtures, they have since gone seven unbeaten - winning four and drawing three.
Their record at home this year reads three wins and two draws, and they have already faced the likes of Corinthians and Cruzeiro.
Vasco da Gama are 10th in the table and they won last time out at home to Sport Recife. They are yet to win on their travels however as they have played four, drawn three and lost one - a 3-0 defeat at Bahia.
