The Daily Acca: Atletico PR to get the job done at home

Brazilian football fans
There are two top flight Brazilian matches tonight

Thursday's edition of the Daily Acca looks at three matches from Brazil and the treble pays just above the 13/1 mark. Here are Paul Robinson's selections:

- Back BTTS in Cruzeiro v Sampaio Correa @ 13/10
- Back Athletico Paranaense @ 1/1
- Back The Draw in RB Bragantino v Internacional @ 21/10

The Acca pays approximately 13/1

No clean sheet for Cruzeiro

Bet 1: Back BTTS in Cruzeiro v Sampaio Correa @ 13/10 - KO 22:30 BST

The hosts were relegated from the Brazilian top flight last season, which was quite the surprise given that they were the league champions only a few short years ago.

They have made a pretty miserable start to life in Serie B, as after 13 matches, they are down in 17th place, with just 11 points.

Opponents, Sampaio Correa, are also on 11 points, but they have played three games fewer, and they have won three of their last five in the league.

I am expecting goals at both ends in this one, as BTTS backers would have collected in all three of the visitors last three away outings, and Cruzeiro's defence is looking anything but water-tight.

Points to stay in Parana

Bet 2: Back Athletico Paranaense @ 1/1 - KO 23:00 BST

Atletico PR were beaten at Flamengo last time out, but that can be forgiven and they are usually very strong on home soil.

After a bit of a below-par run in the behind closed doors era, they are now four unbeaten on their own patch - winning the last two to nil.

Ceara are 17th in the table, and they have been beaten in four of their last six. It's three defeats on the bounce on the road, and they have lost five of their six away games this term.

More dropped points for Internacional

Bet 3: Back The Draw in RB Bragantino v Internacional @ 21/10 - KO 01:00 BST (Fri)

Bragantino are second from bottom and Internacional are fourth in Serie A, but I think that the draw looks like the stand-out bet when they meet tonight.

The visitors do most of their winning at home, and they really aren't so great on their travels. They are in poor form anyway - no win in four - and it's just two wins in seven away from home this year.

Despite their poor position, the hosts have lost just one of their previous five, and their main issue has been the amount of drawn games. They have shared the spoils in six of their 13 this year - including three of their last five.
