The Daily Acca: Goals to flow in relegation six-pointer

Brazilian football fans
The season is coming to a dramatic end in Brazil

It's more action from Brazil's top flight for Paul Robinson tonight and he's expecting goals at Chapecoense. Here are his selections:

- Back Over 2.5 Goals in Chapecoense v Sport Recife @ 31/20
- Back Bahia @ 4/7
- Back Ceara @ 3/10

The Acca pays approximately 4/1

Desperate times call for desperate measures

Bet 1: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Chapecoense v Sport Recife @ 31/20 - KO 23:00 GMT

This is a relegation battle and while the stats don't point towards a high-scoring affair, the desperate need for points has me leaning that way - especially at the prices.

The hosts are third from bottom, one point adrift of safety. The team who currently occupy that all-important 16th position are Sport Recife, so Chapecoense have a huge incentive to go for the win.

The visitors could play for the draw and keep the gap intact, however there are other teams in the mix who can catch them, so even a point wouldn't overly help them.

With only three matches left of the season, funny things can happen, and I'm backing at least three goals in this huge game.

Bahia to march on at home

Bet 2: Back Bahia @ 4/7 - KO 23:00 GMT

The selection are playing for a place in next year's Copa Sudamericana, and the main danger to them is Fluminense - who they face tonight.

A finish of 7th to 12th will see them achieve their goal, and they come into this game in 11th - just two points clear of 13th. Their recent record at home is excellent though, as they have recorded three straight wins, and haven't lost any of their last six.

Fluminense on the other hand have gone five without a win, and they didn't even score a single goal in any of those matches. Away from home it's a trio of 3-0 defeats from their three most recent road trips, and the home side look like an excellent bet to compound them to their fourth straight away loss.

Ceara to take a huge step towards survival

Bet 3: Back Ceara @ 3/10 - KO 23:00 GMT

It's not very often that Ceara will be as short as they are here to win in Brazil's top flight, but they come into the game knowing that a win would pull them further clear of the relegation zone, and they are playing the team who are rock bottom and already down.

Ceara are unbeaten in six on this ground - four wins and two draws - and that includes victories over Atletico Mineiro and reigning champions, Corinthians.

Parana pulled off a shock 1-1 draw with champions elect, Palmeiras, at the weekend, but it's been a tale of woe on their travels this season. Their record reads - played 17, won one, drew one and lost 15, and they have scored only four times.
