The Daily Acca: Tony Mowbray's men to return to the top

Blackburn Rovers Manager - Tony Mowbray
Tony Mowbray has done well at Blackburn this season

Paul Robinson has picked out a pair of League One fixtures and a top flight Portuguese match for his Daily Acca today. Here are his selections:

- Back Blackburn @ 11/20
- Back Under 2.5 Goals in Gillingham v MK Dons @ 8/11
- Back BTTS in Aves v Vitoria Setubal @ 10/11

The Acca pays approximately 4/1

Blackburn to keep the pressure on their promotion rivals

Bet 1: Back Blackburn @ 11/20 - KO 19:45 BST

Rovers have the chance of moving back to the top of League One with a victory this evening and although Wigan are still the favourites for the title, Blackburn's focus will be on finishing in the top two.

Tony Mowbray's side are in excellent form as they are unbeaten in seven - five of which were wins. They thrashed Blackpool by three goals to nil on their last appearance at Ewood Park and they won't be concerned by the visit of Bradford tonight.

The Bantams ended a long winless run at the weekend as they beat Gillingham 1-0 at Valley Parade. Prior to that it had been 11 matches without victory and away from home it's just one point from their last six games.

Gills and Dons to struggle in front of goal

Bet 2: Back Under 2.5 Goals in Gillingham v MK Dons @ 8/11 - KO 19:45 BST

The other fixture in League One this evening comes from the Priestfield Stadium as Gillingham take on MK Dons in a match that shouldn't yield too many goals.

The Gills lost 1-0 on Saturday and that was their 21st game of the season to end with two goals or fewer scored. Their matches are averaging 2.24 goals each time and their two most recent results in front of their own fans were 1-1 and 0-0 draws.

MK Dons are scrapping for survival as they sit in 22nd place, and although they are only one point from safety, Oldham have played two games less.

Dan Micciche's men have had the luxury of playing four games in a row at home, but they now face a tricky away fixture and it wouldn't surprise me if they approached it with caution.

They haven't won on their travels since September and they have mustered just one goal in their last four - all of which saw this selection land.

High-scoring affair in important Portuguese fixture

Bet 3: Back BTTS in Aves v Vitoria Setubal @ 10/11 - KO 20:00 BST

To Portugal now as Deportivo Aves face Vitoria Setubal in a match that will have ramifications at the bottom end of the Primeria Liga.

The hosts are 13th of 18 in the division and while only two go down, they are actually only two points above Feirense who are second from bottom and three points above Estoril who are at the bottom.

Vitoria Setubal are in the same position as Aves points wise, but their inferior goal difference means that they are in 16th. Therefore the carrot for both teams getting all three points tonight is huge, and I expect some attacking football.

The visitors have been involved in plenty of goal-fests on their travels of late as five of their last six away from home have seen both teams find the net. Aves have actually kept three clean sheets on the bounce at home, but I can't imagine them making it four here.
